Vacuum jacketed pipes

Overview

VBS Europe offers a unique range of vacuum jacketed pipes, hoses and cryogenic accessories required for the transfer of liquid nitrogen featuring extremely low heat losses (only 2,5% of a foam insulated pipe).

All flexible hoses and pipes are compatible and can be combined. They are warm to the touch, moisture and frost free.

All products are available in different diameters and custom made lengths.

Triax

Triax line is similar to SEMIFLEX® line, but consists of three concentric tubes, the outside being protected by a plastic coating or stainless steel armor. Vacuum is maintained in the outer annular space.

Liquid nitrogen is supplied to the use points via Triax line from the phase separator. Gas-containing liquid returns continuously to the separator in the annular space between the inside and middle tubing. Triax systems are used where the rapid discharge of LN2 caused by high tank pressures is undesirable, when a positive supply of pure low pressure liquid is provided.

Rigid vacuum jacketed pipes

High Flow Stainless Steel Piping is a vacuum jacketed rigid piping system for transfer of any extreme-temperature fluid as for example liquid nitrogen. It consists of two concentric tubes separated by a spacer. The space between the tubes is sealed under high vacuum.

High Flow Stainless Steel Piping consists of pre-fabricated customized line sections which are connected by vacuum jacketed couplings. Tees, crosses, end traps, vents and phase separators allow a variety of system configurations.

Line sections are made in standard 6 meters lengths. The inner tube is sized for required flow.
